Stan Lee and More Hit Wizard World Comic Con Madison
Face front, true believers! Stan “The Man” Lee is coming to Wizard World Comic Con Madison! The co-creator of Marvel’s greatest superheroes is making a special appearance on Sunday, September 24 for a live Q&A with fans at 11am. Sure, we may have heard a lot of Stan’s stories before, but isn’t that why we love seeing him in person? The man’s a living legend in comics, and nobody spins a tale quite like him!
But it just wouldn’t be a Wizard World show without some of our favorite genre actors. Buffy the Vampire Slayer veterans Emma Caulfield and Juliet Landau, as well as Firefly and Serenity star Sean Maher will each get their own spotlight panels. And if you’re a fan of Lost Girls, then you won’t want to miss Rachel Skarsten and Zoie Palmer’s dual panel as they look back at their time on the show.
On Saturday, September 23 at Noon, WWE Superstar Becky Lynch will step away from the squared circle and come on stage as she offers up an inside look at her time within the company and what’s next for her! That’s just a taste of what’s to come. We’ve got over 50 programming panels starting on Friday, September 22, that run the gamut of pop culture. In fact, we’re also throwing the spotlight on local comic book creators George Hagenauer, Milton Griepp and Maggie Thompson with special guest moderator, Danny Fingeroth, a former Marvel editor and writer!
Looking to break into comics or learn more about the industry? We’ve got you covered there too, with creator-themed hours featuring Steve Geiger, Mostafa Moussa, Tom Cook, Mark Kistler, Dirk Vanover, James Munch, and Joanne Estep. You’ll still have to do the hard work yourself, but these are the men and women who can help you find your creative path.
Cosplay fans are also going to have a lot to enjoy at Wizard World Comic Con Madison. In addition to the numerous fans who bring their own costumes, the world famous Wizard World Costume Contest will be held on Saturday night. Our cosplay special guests, Mogchelle, SuperKayce, and more will also be at the show while demonstrating their expertise, and there will even cosplay workshops that can help you perfect your craft and take your cosplay to the next level. We can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
If you’re bringing your entire family, then you should know that Wizard World always has a place for the kids! There’s children’s programming spread across all three days of the show, including story time, face painting, puppet shows, dance parties, magic, and drawing lessons. As a bonus, Kids ten and under will get into the show for free with each paid adult admission. After all, we’ve got to start the next generation of geeks while they’re young!
There’s still time to be a part of the experience. Wizard World Madison will kick off at 4pm on Friday, September 22 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin. We’ll see you there!
