Zombie Apocalypse Hits Wizard World New Orleans As Eight ‘Walking Dead’ Guests To Attend, January 4-6
It’s not quite a zombie apocalypse, but it may be the next best thing in The Big Easy next month when eight stars of “The Walking Dead” franchise appear at Wizard World New Orleans, January 4-6, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Flagship program “The Walking Dead” will be represented by Jon Bernthal, Michael Cudlitz, Kirk Acevedo, Tom Payne, Austin Amelio and Cailey Fleming, while “Fear the Walking Dead” standouts Jenna Elfman and Mo Collins will be on hand from the spinoff series. They will greet fans, sign autographs, pose for individual and select group photo ops and conduct various interactive Q&A panels.
Cudlitz will appear on Friday and Saturday, January 4-5; Bernthal is scheduled to attend on Saturday and Sunday, January 5-6; the others will appear all three days.
The stars join a stellar Wizard world New Orleans lineup that includes Aquaman headliner Jason Momoa, “Outlander” stars Richard Rankin, Sophie Skelton, Lotte Verbeek and Graham McTavish and author Diana Gabaldon, the "Luke Cage" tandem of Mike Colter and Simone Missick, Mads Mikkelsen ("Hannibal," Doctor Strange), “The Vampire Diaries” quintet of Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Daniel Gillies, Zach Roerig and David Alpay and others as well as an outstanding array of programming, live entertainment, cosplay contests, gaming and more at the ninth annual convention.
