Neal Adams, Arvell Jones, Arthur Suydam, Phil Ortiz Headline Artist Alley At Wizard World New Orleans, January 4-6
Neal Adams (“Batman,” “X-Men”, Arvell Jones ("Black Panther," "Thor"), Arthur Suydam (“Deadpool,” “The Walking Dead”), Phil Ortiz (“The Simpsons”), Tom Cook ("Masters of the Universe," "Smurfs"), Michael Golden ("Spider-Man," "Captain America"), Marat Mychaels ("X-Force: Shatterstar," "Hawk and Dove"), Ron Marz ("Silver Surfer,” “Batman/Aliens”), and Ken Lashley (“Action Comics,” “Superman”) are among the leading comics artists and writers scheduled to attend the ninth annual 2019 Wizard World New Orleans, January 4-6 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The weekend will also feature many demonstrations and discussions at the Creative Stage.
Other creators scheduled to appear in Artist Alley include Shawn Coss (“Cyanide & Happiness,” “Inktober Illness”), Tim Lattie (“Ghostbusters,” WWE), Jeremy Clark (“Grimm Fairy Tales,” “Day of the Dead”), Clinton Hobart (Licensed Disney Fine Art), Dean Haspiel (“Billy Dogma,” “Spider-Man”), Mark Kistler (“Secret City,” “Imagination Station”), James Morris (Three Kingdoms trilogy), Ryan Kinkaid (“Antoinette”), Tony Kordos (“Cyborg,” “Aquaman”), Jamie Tyndall (“My Little Pony,” “Alice in Wonderland”), Jason Reeves (“G.I. Joe,” “Transformers”), Jed Thomas (“Crypt TV,” “The Amity Wars”) and many more.
Wizard World New Orleans will also include non-stop live entertainment, gaming, exclusive Q&A sessions with top celebrities such as “Outlander” stars Richard Rankin, Sophie Skelton, Lotte Verbeek and Graham McTavish and author Diana Gabaldon, the "Luke Cage" tandem of Mike Colter and Simone Missick, Mads Mikkelsen ("Hannibal," Doctor Strange), “The Vampire Diaries” quintet of Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Daniel Gillies, Zach Roerig and David Alpay, a dedicated kids zone and more, along with Wizard World’s Master of Ceremonies, Kato Kaelin.
Wizard World events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop culture: movies, television, gaming, live entertainment, comics, sci-fi, graphic novels, toys, original art, collectibles, contests and more. The first event scheduled on the 2019 Wizard World calendar, New Orleans show hours are Friday, January 4, 4-9 p.m.; Saturday, January 5, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday, January 6, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Kids 10 and under are admitted free with paid adult.
Wizard World New Orleans is also the place for cosplay, with fans young and old showing off their best costumes throughout the event. Fans dressed as every imaginable character – and some never before dreamed – will roam the convention floor and participate in the famed Wizard World Costume Contest on Saturday evening.
