Jonathon Zemek & Chris Rogers
Born and raised in Binghamton, NY, Jonathon first picked up the guitar at 12 years old. He soon found tutelage under local Binghamton guitar legend Roy Ettinger and began learning the craft. Jonathon moved to Austin, TX in 2006 to pursue music and became the co-founder of local band Soul Track Mind. STM had many years of success which included playing Wakarusa Festival, SXSW, winning the Louisiana Music Prize in 2014, performing at the 2015 Texas Governor’s Inaugural Ball and sharing bills with David Crosby, Enrique Iglesias, Tower of Power, Charles Bradley, Pat Green and Lady Antebellum. STM was also featured on the cover of Texas Music Magazine and written about in many publications including The New York Times, The Huffington Post, The Austin Chronicle and others. STM released 4 Albums and a number of singles while together. Jonathon is releasing his first solo album on September 21, 2018 complete with a comic book that tells the story of the album.
Raised in South Carolina Chris picked up art as soon as he could. Comic books were his first introduction into abstract thinking and fictional storytelling. He attended Pomfret School in Connecticut then completed his education at Hobart College and William Smith College earning his bachelors in studio art. Since that time Chris has relocated to Austin, TX where his work has gained him international attention. He has produced over 8 substantial murals and performed live at a number of live events and concerts wherein he does live painting. Austin's "The Chronicle" named Chris the "Best Street Artist" in 2015. "The Austin-American Statesman", "Community Impact", and globally-recognized "SXSW" have also featured him in numerous articles and broachers, highlighting Chris's prolific, "Passionate", and "traffic stopping" artwork. One of Chris’s latest works is the comic book that goes with the album Hillcrest that’s set to release on September 21, 2018.
