Elaina Unger is an artist who specializes in portrait paintings of super heroes, rock stars, and anyone way rad. Her paintings have been displayed in Philadelphia galleries, and most notably her portrait of Malala Yousafzai went viral and was promoted by Malala's social media sites and the movie website for "He Named Me Malala." Elaina describes her art style as "recherché fluidity meets punk rock grittiness." She is inspired by the work of artists such as Yoshitaka Amano and Adam Hughes. Her art is also inspired by 80s metal and old school video games.
Elaina is also a comic book colorist, her colors featured in Archie Comics' "Mega Man," "Sonic the Hedgehog" and "Sonic Universe" series. She has also colored for Stan Lee's "The Zodiac Legacy" by Papercutz. Elaina is a licensed artist as well, represented by Parcai Designs. Her brand "Puttiko" is licensed by Check Advantage and Posterazzi.
Elaina graduated from Rowan University with a BA in Art (Illustration). She also has experience in the modeling industry, modeling clothing for Philadelphia's Heyne-Bogut and h.NAOTO's Sixh from Japan.
