Colin McFarlane

Colin has a BA Hons in drama from Loughborough University and an honorary doctorate from the University of Leicester for his contribution to the Arts. He is an award-winning actor, voiceover artist, director & theatre producer.

Colin won the 'Time Out' award for Best Actor with Leo Wringer in 1994 for TWO HORSEMEN. He was a member of the BBC Radio drama company where LAVENDER SONG with Bill Nighy won a Sony award and has appeared in numerous radio productions and readings for the BBC.

Colin’s television work includes Season 4 and 5 of Starz’s OUTLANDER, as Ulysses. His extensive television work includes: JEEVES AND WOOSTER, THE THIN BLUE LINE, JONATHAN CREEK, JUDGE JOHN DEED, CORONATION STREET, EASTENDERS, HOLBY CITY, TWO PINTS OF LAGER, HOUNDED, MI HIGH (CBBC) THE AMERICAN EMBASSY (US), GOTHAM TONIGHT (US), RANDALL AND HOPKIRK, PARENTS OF THE BAND, COLLISION, THE FAST SHOW, LENNY HENRY IN DREAMS, BLACK BOOKS, REGGIE PERRIN, TORCHWOOD, BAD EDUCATION, DIRK GENTLY, HARRY AND PAUL, IT’S KEVIN! and LE GRAND with Jean Reno. Further credits include guest roles in CITIZEN KHAN and DEATH IN PARADISE for the BBC, DOCTOR WHO, FATHER BROWN, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM, PORRIDGE, HOOTEN AND THE LADY for SKY and UK TV Gold’s THE REBEL. He can next be seen as Lord Oaki in INDUSTRY for HBO/BBC.

Colin’s feature film work includes – BATMAN BEGINS and THE DARK KNIGHT with Christian Bale, Gary Oldman and Heath Ledger, FRAGILE with Calista Flockhart, CHUNKY MONKEY with David Threlfall and Alison Steadman, THE 101-YEAR-OLD MAN WHO DISAPPEARED, THE INVISIBLE GUARDIAN directed by Fernando González Molina, THE COMMUTER alongside Liam Neeson and as Colonel Pierce in PATIENT ZERO alongside Natalie Dormer and Matt Smith. He will next be seen in the feature film horror CRAWL.

In 1998 he founded The 4th Wall Entertainment Company where he has produced and directed: HUIS CLOS/NO EXIT: Criterion, Riverside Studios and Cochrane Theatre.
