Chris Potter

Chris Potter

Chris Potter is an award winning and versatile actor/director, currently filming the thirteenth season of the hit CBC’s drama Heartland. In addition to portraying Tim Fleming on the series, Potter has directed several of the show’s episodes.

Born in Toronto Canada, Potter rose to prominence early in life with his portrayal of Peter Caine (the son of David Carradine’s Kwai Chang Caine) on Kung Fu: The Legend Continues. Discovering a talent for dialects, Potter beat out all the competition to play Gambit — the ragin’ Cajun — on X-Men the Animated Series.

A loner with his own emotional baggage, Gambit ranks equal with Wolverine in fan popularity, specifically because of Potter’s interpretation. Gambit and Rogue’s relationship was a constant draw for fans of the show. Following X-Men, Potter appeared as Dr. David in Queer as Folk. The actor has a flair for edgy roles and has accumulated an impressive volume of credits, starring in seven successful TV series (with over 500 cumulative one-hour episodes).
