Wizard World is proud to present world-renown animator Tom Cook (Tarzan; Flash Gordon; He-Man and the Masters of the Universe; She-Ra Princess of Power). This panel will be a demonstration of the steps taken to bring an idea from script to screen. Cook will begin with a short story of how he became an animator back in the late 1970s and then describe the different departments in an animation studio and what they do to move the development of the cartoon forward. Tom will have a few scenes he has worked on over the years on video and then will open the floor for questions about either the process or any other question you may have. So come out and see first-hand how your favorite cartoons were made.

For nearly the past 40 years, LGBT characters have greatly grown in their representation in the superhero genre. Presented is an in depth historical overview of the evolution of their portrayal in comic books, film, TV and literature.

The Vixens are a cosplay dance troupe formed in 2015 from San Antonio. Initially brought together by a shared love for cosplay they soon found that each shared a unique talent and passion for dance. Together, they specialize in a variety of styles from EDM, Go-Go, Poi, Hoop, Fans, Fire, Folkloric, bellydance, J-Pop, K-Pop all the way to traditional partnered styles like swing and blues. Often performing in cosplay their energetic performances are sure to have something for everyone.

Hear from Genese Davis (The Holder's Dominion), Emily McKay (The Farm), Sherry Thomas (The Burning Sky) and Karen MacInerney (Mother's Day Out) as they share their creation process for women heroes, what they think about when creating or collaborating on a female lead, and what they foresee happening to female heroes in the future.
