Its leather journals, satchels and laptop bags, handmade to look like they are over a century old!
Amidst the comics-themed goodies, action figures and colorful, creative t-shirts in the Exhibitors area at Wizard World shows is a curious corner booth that looks like it fell off the set of Little House on the Prairie.
Its leather journals, satchels and laptop bags, handmade to look like they are over a century old, are for sure different from anything else fans will see at Wizard World. No two items are exactly alike, as each is produced in studio by artisan Steven Malone. Even the styles and designs vary from time to time, and the quality is top-rate.
I intentionally aim to make each satchel/laptop bag look like it is over a century old, said Malone. I want each one to look as if your great, great, great granddad dragged it behind his horse and you just rediscovered it tucked away in your dad's closet this morning. You will immediately notice the veins and wonderful skin tones that are always found in my work, certainly something you would be hard pressed to discover within the world of mass produced goods.
It's truly a throwback. Stop by the Poetic Earth booth to see the workmanship that goes into every one of his pieces.
